Overexposed Memory
Collaboration with Bayan Kiwan Losing photographs is the most terrifying event that haunts me repeatedly. Losing my ability to remember scares me; a face, a feeling, a moment. But the question is does my fear lie in the loss of memory only? Or was a photograph the only proof I ever had that we loved and felt. How can I save that photograph or other photographs of you that were damaged, or the ones I did not have enough time to capture, except save them in my memory? This is an attempt to recreate an overexposed photograph from my memory, which I captured on a black & white film roll in July 2020, when your face was my only refuge from pain. Sadly, I was not able to capture your face within that frame. This artwork produced thru and art residency in Amman with Aman space - July 2021
